Multisource Genomic DNA Miniprep Kit

The multisource genomic DNA miniprep kit is designed to purify genomic DNA from animals tissues, plant tissues, cultured cells and yeasts. This system employs a special lysis buffer to efficiently release genomic DNA from the biologic starting materials. Proteins, pigments, carbohydrates and lipids are then selectively removed by a unique precipitation buffer. After centrifugation, free DNA in the supernatant is bound onto DNA spin column. No phenol chloroform are used for purification. The purified DNA is then eluted in either a Tris buffer or deionized water. Genomic DNA prepared by this method is approximately 30 kb in length and is suitable for a variety of applications such as PCR amplifications, Southern blot analysis, RAPD, AFLP and RFLP, etc. Each GEB`s column will bind and purify up to 20 μg of genomic DNA.
